“The Most Beautiful and Healthy Path of Mindfulness while… Getting Married.” Christine Bevilacqua – Event Planner Extraordinaire.

It seems a very long time ago now, actually sometime in Spring 2015, I asked Christine Bevilacqua if she would come speak to a church group about the practice of mindfulness. Christine accepted the invitation and within a very short time facilitated the group to think and… practice mindfulness. Good job, Christine.

I had already come to know Christine as a wedding officiant at one of her beautifully orchestrated and largely stress-free weddings; so both personally and professionally I knew here was a person who definitely “walked the talk” of mindfulness and had the gift to share that “walk” with others.

I have married many, many couples and there has been a fascinating and exuberant variety in all the weddings and yet a few things are common. One thing that almost every wedding couple yearns for is a quiet center that is profound and healing in a time of stress; I hope I have provided, and will continue to provide, such a quiet center. Christine’s company (Metta Events) is a full-service wedding and event planning firm based in Newport, Rhode Island.

It’s been now almost a year that I have had it “in mind” to write about Christine and her visit to Trinity; but today “mindfulness” overwhelmed me and I got down to the task. Maybe this was just the right time to do it?
