The wisdom from holy writings (below) indicate the process by which a relationship/organization/conversation can be renewed and enlivened.
#1 King Hezekiah was given the task of bringing renewal back to the relationship between God and the people. He “opened and repaired the doors”. He recognized the wisdom of paying attention to accessibility and visibility. A relationship withers without commitment to openness to the other; it perishes without giving notice that conversations, ideas, transformation is now a priority.
#2 The list is long describing how the substance must be valued, used for its purpose. In relationships we all come with particular histories and these must be respected; they have a particular purpose and should not be ignored, devalued or perverted.
#3 Every relationship exists with certain spoken and unspoken patterns, rules, expectations; this is necessary and healthy but… there are times of weariness, despair, change when these accepted patterns must be reviewed and altered even for a season.
and #4 In Scripture emphasis is given to the importance of encouragement and gratitude. Relationships are in danger when good work, good intentions are undervalued or ignored. Learn constantly “the attitude of gratitude”.
