(The glorious picture of a transformed Trinity Church is by skillful kindness of Pieter Roos)
It’s now 4:45pm on Saturday. Tomorrow is the last Sunday before Lent begins (Ash Wednesday) February 10th.
Tomorrow we prepare for a “No Alleluia Zone” of seven weeks; so come to worship and shout out, sing lustily those “alleluias”. Who knows we may even hear a few alleluias that are unscheduled and unexpected; yes I know we’re Episcopalians but…
Tomorrow’s sermon (I’m almost sure) is about the human, chronic need to experience transformation and to be a transformative influence amongst those with whom we “live, work and have our being”.
To quote Bishop Claude E. Payne, “The Church is to be (is?)a community of miraculous expectation and glorious transformation.”
ALLELUIA!-
