The snow created a winter wonderland and once inside the elegant Belle Mer venue (Newport, Rhode Island) we were greeted by a bag-piper and when he rested a while a harpist played.

There somehow was something just magically Celtic about the whole event compounded by a junior bridesmaid waving a magical wand and Irish accents in glorious abundance – they were patient with the English accent of the officiant.

The couple, quite rightly, were concerned that the ceremony be unique and not just “another wedding.” We worked on that and I was thrilled to read this email from the groom after the wedding:

Hi Alan,
I just want to say thank you so much for everything. We are appreciative of your patience with us throughout the build up to the wedding, and we thought you were fantastic during the ceremony.
Thanks for helping us start our married life together, and Happy New Year!
